Meeting of the Industry Taskforce in Budapest

The Equilibrium Institute held the first of a series of three meeting with the Industry Taskforce helping the project on 6 December.

During the closed-door session Taskforce members shared their views on the report “Industry Decarbonization in Hungary”. Although Taskforce members helped Equilibrium Institute’s team with their valuable insights during the drafting of this so-called “barrier report”, the meeting held on 6 December gave room for discussion about how the economic environment changed in the past months and what the implications were for the heavy industries. Increasing energy prices and adverse financial environment makes it even harder for the hard-to-abate industries to concentrate on decarbonisation.
