Second high-level impact lunch in Budapest

19 / 10 / 2023

The Equilibrium Institute held its second high-level impact lunch in the framework of the project on 2 October 2023.

The discussion dedicated to decision-makers was focusing on the economic crisis, on the war of Russia on Ukraine, on the energy crisis, on the taxonomy regulation and on the effects these have on decarbonisation opportunities and efforts of the industrial sector.

Equilibrium Institute’s Director for Climate and Environmental Policies, Dóra Csernus, presented the main findings of the Policy and Financing Roadmap for Hungarian heavy industry decarbonization.

The meeting – once again – was an only-CEO meeting where the project team could get an insight into how some of the most relevant CEOs see the evolution of the challenges linked to the energy crisis and to decarbonization in Hungary.

When talking about financing, participants stressed how difficult the situation was since the MFF and the RRF funds were still blocked for the country.
