Dekarbonizacja polskiego przemysłu ciężkiego: Polityka i harmonogram finansowania
Finansowanie dekarbonizacji przemysłu ciężkiego leży w zasięgu polskich przedsiębiorstw, konieczne jest jednak wsparcie państwa na poziomie politycznym, regulacyjnym i finansowym.
Slovak Industry Decarbonisation: Policy and Financing Roadmap
The Analysis of the decarbonisation of Slovak industry delves into the challenges of estimating capital expenses (CAPEX) needs for successful carbon reduction until 2030 in three chosen sectors in Slovakia.
Hungarian Heavy Industry Decarbonisation: Policy and Financing Roadmap
If Hungary wants to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 in line with its Climate Act, it cannot avoid drastic reductions in emissions from heavy industry. Equilibrium Institute, in the framework of its project funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), is seeking to present a roadmap on how to decarbonise these sectors.
Czech Heavy Industry Decarbonisation: Policy and Financing Roadmap
The report links policy, investment and financing aspects relevant for the Czech heavy industry decarbonisation and proposes solutions to the obstacles that industrial stakeholders may face on the decarbonisation pathway. Investments and financing needs are clearly correlated, and policies, regulatory environment and government incentives and/or levies must also be aligned with decarbonisation targets to be mutually consistent.
Industrial Decarbonisation in Slovakia
Decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries is crucial for decreasing emissions in Slovakia. Read on to get an insight on the main barriers of decarbonisation.
Industrial Decarbonisation in Czechia
This report summarises the Czech financial and policy framework, and explores the main barriers and technological options to decarbonise the hard-to-abate industries. It analyses the margins of companies in recent years as well as the potential for mobilising capital from both public and private sources. Decarbonisation of these sectors is going to require major scale-up in some ground-breaking technologies, such as hydrogen production and carbon capture, use and storage. The report assesses if the current policy framework supports the development of innovation and development of new technologies.
Industrial Decarbonisation in Poland
The manufacturing industry is the most energy intensive sector of Polish economy and one of the greatest emitters: as for 2019, manufacturing was responsible for 14% of total national GHG emissions and had a 38% cut of the national electricity consumption. Given that the Polish energy mix is highly reliant on fossil fuels industrial production has a large CO2 emission footprint owning to the energy uptake.
Industrial Decarbonisation in Hungary
The Hungarian heavy industry has lost its significance in the past thirty years. The share of steel, cement, and chemical production in the Hungarian gross value added shrunk but their emissions should not be ignored. In this study we present the key barriers to industrial decarbonisation.
